ABOUT

Me

Hi, I’m Charlotte, idea generator, graphic designer and lover of the Scandi style!

I am currently in my second year studying graphic design at Arts University Bournemouth. I particularly enjoy the challenge of creating innovative solutions to a set brief and relish all aspects of the design process. Recently I undertook a collaborative project with an Interior architecture student, where I created a wayfinding system for the renovation of a co-living space. Whilst working on the project, I found I was particularly interested in user-centred design, and enjoyed the challenge of designing for accessibility and inclusivity.

I am always developing skills in a range of Adobe software, so I can express and communicate ideas visually to the highest standard. I am currently learning CSS-grid and have hand coded this website, but I am also developing skills in After Effects, InDesign, Premier Pro, and Illustrator.

On a personal note, I enjoy visiting new countries and experiencing different cultures. As my mother is Danish, I have also spent a lot of time in Denmark which has inspired my way of thinking and developed my appreciation of functional, clean, simple and minimal design aesthetics, which I believe has informed by own unique design style.

I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to design branding and logos for friends and family, however, I am keen to gain further industry insight into an agency or studio environment. I feel I offer strong ideation skills, an ability to work successfully in a team and I am keen to learn. If there is a possibility that there might be an opportunity for me to undertake work experience or an internship over the summer, I would be delighted to show you more of my work in person. Please get in touch!
